Small Animal Rescue (SAR)

Our activities:
- Raising awareness about proper care methods for school animals such as rabbits, guinea pigs, and chickens in the Tokyo metropolitan area.
- Inspection of the breeding facilities and suggestions for improvement
- Consultation regarding pet care arrangements during holidays, long vacations, and disasters.
- Finding foster homes and providing adoption support for rescued small animals.
- Support for the retirement of animals that have finished their time in school care and their transition to home care.

We continuously share information on social media regarding school animal care and animal welfare. In July 2026, the issue of school rabbits being kept outdoors during the heatwave, which we had also been raising awareness about, attracted nationwide attention. A primary school in Tokyo moved the rabbits indoors and improved the situation by providing 24-hour air conditioning. This development was also reported by Sponichi Annex and generated a great deal of interest.
