LIBERTY, a general incorporated association , is a rabbit rescue organization based in Osaka and the Kansai region, dedicated to protecting rabbits, finding foster homes for them, holding adoption events, and promoting responsible rabbit care. We introduce them as a rescue organization that has ties with BunnyCare JP.
Liberty works to eliminate the collapse of rabbit hoarding situations and abandonment by promoting proper and lifelong care. Spreading correct rabbit care knowledge is the first step in saving lives that could otherwise be lost. Through panel exhibitions, seminars, and the operation of the store-based office "SPEAR," we contribute to creating a society where people can live with rabbits.
We hold an adoption event for rescued rabbits on the first Sunday of every month. Individual meetings are accepted at any time.
They are also looking for temporary foster parents and host families.

Q: Is there a difference between rescued rabbits and rabbits sold in pet stores?
A. Although they are basically the same domestic rabbit breed, our rescued rabbits receive careful medical care, spaying/neutering surgeries, and adaptation training to prevent future illnesses. Because we have a thorough understanding of each rabbit's personality and health condition, we can make better matches for them.
Q: I'm getting a rabbit for the first time. Is that okay?
A: Of course, that's fine. We have a beginner-friendly pet care guide and a comprehensive support system in place. Please feel free to contact us as many times as you need if you have any questions. We provide reliable information based on the standards of the House Rabbit Society.
Q: I am elderly; can I become a foster parent?
A. Age is not a reason. However, the lifespan of a rabbit is 8 to 12 years. We can help you plan your rabbit's life and offer consultations in case it requires care.
Q: I'm living alone, is that okay?
A: Of course. Rabbits are independent and their daily care is not difficult. Many people, from single individuals to the elderly, have happily welcomed rabbits into their homes. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us anytime.
Q: Are there any costs involved?
A. We ask for your cooperation in covering a portion of the costs of spaying/neutering surgeries and medical care for the rescued rabbits.
